Literature Text

Sing with us!
Dance with us!
And tea
for you and I.
For I for one
have not yet begun
to offer one
for you, or you to I.

And logic, I propose
is just; A writing desk?
A raven. Thus is such
the madness we ensue
I drink for me
you drink for you.

The hat,
The dress,
The ears,
The mess;
Move up a place!
But why? I see.
I move for you
You move for me.

Stumble, trip,
Sugar? Milk?
Sip
from the cup.
On bread and jam
we sup.
Sip? Sup?
Tea time -
if you knew time
you'd know
I know.
You know?
Not a hugely amazing attempt, but it's the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.... from my favourite book 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'. It's my attempt at Carrollian-style writing.

It describes the event perfectly. And being a tea drinker, I have to confess that's typically what happens with my group when tea time comes^^
